Planning a wedding is a wonderful adventure, but it can also mean a lot of research, appointments, decisions and travel, especially when you are organising it from a distance. Finding the right vendors, comparing options, tasting menus, meeting your photographer, choosing your decor, trying your hair and makeup… This is what gave us the idea for the Castelet Wedding Experience Weekend.
In November and/or March, we welcome couples who will be getting married at DLC in the coming years. They meet our partner vendors, can finalise their contracts with them, and discover new experiences.
Far from a traditional wedding fair, DLC Wedding Experience is a truly immersive and friendly weekend, designed to give concrete help with wedding planning while allowing couples to enjoy a special time at the Domaine.

Why did we create the Domaine Castelet Wedding Experience Weekend?
When couples start planning their wedding, most of them from a distance, the list of things to organise can quickly become overwhelming.
Caterer, photographer, videographer, DJ, florist, makeup artist, hairstylist, ceremony officiant, decoration, entertainment… And for each category, there are many professionals, with very different styles, personalities and ways of working.
So we designed the DLC Wedding Experience Weekend as real support for wedding planning.
The idea is simple: bring together several wedding professionals at Domaine Le Castelet over a single weekend, so that couples can take the time to meet them, talk with them, discover their work and, when possible, try out their services.
Support for planning a wedding from abroad
DLC Wedding Experience Weekend is designed first and foremost for couples organising their wedding at Domaine Le Castelet from abroad.
Planning a wedding remotely often means squeezing many appointments into a few available days. With the DLC Wedding Experience concept, several meetings can take place in the same location over a single weekend, which saves a great deal of time and energy.
We select and invite several trusted vendors across different trades so that couples can discover a range of professionals.
The goal is to let couples meet and compare several wedding vendors in one weekend, without having to arrange numerous trips, before making their choice.
A beneficial experience for vendors too
The DLC Wedding Experience Weekend was also designed for the wedding professionals who work at the Domaine.
For our vendors, it is a chance to meet several future couples at their wedding venue and to present their work in a different way than at a traditional fair or online. Instead of having to travel to the Domaine several times on different dates to meet different couples, they can also group their appointments into one weekend and meet several of the Domaine’s future couples at once.
They can take the time to talk about their profession, their world and their way of working, as well as give demonstrations and showcase their expertise.
It is also a great opportunity for professionals to meet other vendors in the industry, exchange ideas and build new connections.
We want everyone to find real value in taking part in this weekend: the couples, the vendors and, of course, the Domaine.
A special time for us too
This weekend is also a wonderful opportunity for our team to meet the future couples in person, to welcome them, or to see them again if we already know them.
When weddings are organised remotely, much of our communication naturally happens by email, phone or video call. DLC Wedding Experience Weekend allows us to spend time together, to talk more freely about their planning and to better understand their wishes, needs and questions.
It is also a chance to present our services, our offerings and our supplies catalogue more concretely.
It also allows them to put faces to the people who will support them remotely at Domaine Le Castelet throughout their wedding preparations.
For us, it is therefore a real pleasure to welcome, meet and support our future couples, and to help make their experience at Domaine Le Castelet even more personalised.
Taking the time to meet vendors before making your choice
Choosing wedding vendors is a matter of trust. We wanted couples to be able to go further than a simple presentation. Even though websites and social media now make it possible to discover a huge number of professionals, nothing replaces a real meeting. Chemistry, personality and trust are essential when choosing the people who will take part in such an important day.
During this weekend, our partners share their expertise and passion with the future couples through tastings, demonstrations and trials. Caterers, makeup artists, hairstylists, florists, photographers, videographers, decorators, musicians, winemakers and other vendors can thus present their world in a concrete way.
For future couples, it is a real opportunity to experience certain services live before making a decision.
A makeup trial, a tasting, a meeting with your photographer or simply a conversation over coffee can sometimes be enough to create a real favourite.
A useful experience even when the wedding is already well advanced
DLC Castelet Wedding Experience Weekend is not only for couples who have just started their preparations.
Some of the participating couples have already chosen most of their vendors when they join the weekend. They can come to meet the professionals they will be working with, put faces to names, go deeper into certain details of their wedding or simply enjoy the atmosphere of Domaine Le Castelet.
It is also a great opportunity to talk with us again about their wedding. As the months go by, plans evolve, ideas change and new questions arise. Being able to take the time to reconnect and talk about their project in a more relaxed setting is something we greatly appreciate.
Discovering or rediscovering Domaine Le Castelet
DLC Wedding Experience Weekend also gives couples the chance to discover or rediscover Domaine Le Castelet.
Some couples travel from far away and have organised their wedding entirely or almost entirely remotely. For some, this weekend will be their very first real discovery of the venue: they sometimes booked based on photos, virtual tours, video calls and discussions with our team, without yet having had the chance to visit in person. DLC Wedding Experience Weekend lets them finally discover the different spaces, the rooms, the grounds and the atmosphere of Domaine Le Castelet, and above all begin to picture their wedding stay, which usually lasts between 3 and 5 days. They can imagine their ceremony, their cocktail hour, their reception, their guests’ arrival and all the little details that will make their wedding unique.
For other couples, it is a return visit after a first visit a few months earlier. For them, the weekend is a chance to see the place again, revisit the different spaces and develop their project as the preparations progress.
In every case, DLC Wedding Experience Weekend lets couples take the time to experience the Domaine rather than simply visit it. It is a moment to picture things, ask questions, imagine their wedding and begin creating memories in the place that will host their big day.
Staying on site and enjoying a truly immersive experience
We wanted this weekend to be an immersive experience, not just a few hours of meetings.
Couples can stay on site, enjoy the Domaine, share meals, take part in the various activities and take the time to talk with the vendors and the other future couples.
Wine tastings, meal tastings, musical moments, a coffee bar and conversations with our vendors are all part of the experience.
The aim is to create a true break from the preparations: a weekend where you can both make concrete progress on organising your wedding and enjoy preparing for your big day.
Meeting other future couples
Another aspect we particularly like about this Wedding Experience Weekend is the chance for couples to meet other future couples.
Everyone is at a different stage of planning. Some have already chosen their caterer, others are still looking for their photographer. Some have lots of ideas, others are still thinking things through, and these exchanges are fruitful. Couples can share their experiences, advice, good ideas and sometimes even their questions. Conversations start over a coffee or during a meal and continue naturally throughout the weekend. It is this very human dimension of the event that we want to preserve: creating connections between the couples and the professionals brought together by Domaine Le Castelet. The weekend allows everyone to exchange and share ideas, advice and experience, and to naturally build a small community around a shared project: preparing their wedding and enjoying a wonderful experience at Domaine Le Castelet.
We are happy to meet our future couples in a different context, to talk with them in ways other than through emails, and to follow the progress of their projects.
Le Castelet Wedding Experience Weekend: much more than a wedding fair
Ultimately, what we want to create with the DLC Wedding Experience Weekend is a weekend that concretely helps couples plan their wedding, find their vendors, compare their options and make their choices with more peace of mind.
But also a weekend to discover or rediscover Domaine Le Castelet, try out different services, enjoy tastings, meet other future couples and simply spend a lovely time together.
By hosting small groups of engaged couples, we’re able to take the time to talk with each of you, learn about your story, understand your wishes, and provide you with more personalized support. The goal is to devote time to each couple, go into the details of their plans, and offer advice tailored to their wedding.
Whether you are at the start of your preparations or your wedding is already well advanced, the experience is designed to bring you something.
Because preparing a wedding shouldn’t only be a long to-do list. It should also be a time of meetings, discoveries, enjoyment and beautiful memories.
And that is exactly the spirit we want to give the DLC Wedding Experience.
We are already on our third edition, and we hope to continue this event for years to come.
We are already looking forward to welcoming our future couples!
