Idyllic, stress-free weddings
Organising a wedding can be a headache. The bride and groom can’t afford to overlook a single detail if everything is to run as smoothly as possible. And it seems like the reception has only just started when it’s already time to see the guests off.
At Le Castelet, the bride and groom and guests can just sit back and enjoy their special day. Two days before, all they have to do is turn up and settle into the self-catering cottages and boutique bed & breakfast. On the eve of the wedding, they can start quietly setting up the function room and outside areas, located in a converted 19th-century farmhouse just a stone’s throw from the main manor house. Even in the height of summer, the wedding venue, located in the middle of woods and 300 m above sea level near Castres, is always comfortably cool and shady.
Once the venue is decorated in a fittingly tasteful, elegant way, the future bride and groom can take a little time out to relax with family, either by the large salt-water swimming pool, or in one of the reception or drawing rooms. Because weddings don’t have to be stressful: they can be a fun, laid-back affair. After dinner – perhaps a barbecue – out on the terrace of La Ferme holiday rental, guests can retire to their rooms and get a good night’s sleep before the wedding.
On the morning of the Big Day, there’s nothing to worry about: the hairdresser and make-up artist will come to the venue to get the bride, bridesmaids and family members ready. Meanwhile, after a quick swim and some last-minute checks, the groom, best man and friends will be getting ready in the billiard room, a popular venue with its sober elegance and “gentleman’s club” atmosphere. The excitement is mounting: it’s time to go to church – or, alternatively, for the guests to arrive for a civil or Protestant ceremony at an idyllic spot beneath the lime trees in the grounds of Domaine Le Castelet. The caterer is busy getting things ready, the DJ is doing a soundcheck, the musicians are tuning… The magical moment is finally here!
After a truly memorable evening and a few hours’ sleep, the hardier and more adventurous guests can take a final dip in the pool before sitting down to an al fresco brunch to round off this special occasion on a fun, festive note.
